Each individual entry has the fee listed beside it. It is important that you list the correct length of your entry. This measurement reserves your space in the parade line-up and if it is not correct then your entry will not fit, and there will be no refunds. Please list the number of entries of each kind and the total amount to the left. Beside the “Cost of Entry” is the amount of footage you will get, if you need additional footage you can purchase it in 10 foot sections for $10.00. If you pay for a walking group entry and then purchase 1 additional 10 foot section, you CANNOT put a car into the space unless you pay for the car entry fee also. THIS YEAR'S THEME IS CHRISTMAS TOYLAND!
Early registrations must be received by Saturday, December 5th, 2020. All others will be considered late and subject to a late fee of $20.00. No entry will be accepted after Wednesday, December 9th, 2020 (ONLINE ONLY). Applications can be hand-delivered to the Jaycees Basketball Classic at Alcoa Middle School and must be paid in cash or certified fund on Monday, December 7th, or Tuesday, December 8th (6:00 – 9:00 pm). Only online applications will be taken on Wednesday, December 9th until closure.
The Blount County Jaycees, Inc. reserves the right to refuse any entry at any time for any reason.
All entries must be registered, have a completed application, and all fees paid prior to the final application ONLINE deadline of Wednesday, December 9th, 2020, before they will be allowed in the parade line-up.
All entries, regardless of type, must have some type of Christmas Decorations, (bows, wreath, etc.) or parade theme items attached to their entry.
There will be only ONE Santa Claus or such likeness in the parade. The Blount County Jaycees, Inc. will provide Santa Claus.
Entries should begin to line up at 9:00 am the morning of the parade. The parade will begin at 11am.

2020 Staging Route Information: Staging for parade entry will occur on Sevierville Road, East Church Street, and a parking area adjacent to Sevierville Road in Downtown Maryville. Parade entries will enter the staging area from the intersections of E Church Street and E Harper OR Washington and Sevierville Road (depending on final line-up). Only parade vehicles will be allowed in the areas to minimize traffic flow concerns.
The parade route will enter Broadway via Norwood and continue through Downtown Maryville via Broadway. The parade will conclude at New Providence Presbyterian Church.
Spectators are encouraged to utilize public parking in Downtown to watch the parade.
Due to the conditions of the parade route, some types of vehicles will not be accepted due to the risk of injuries.
All entries will follow state and local traffic laws and meet state insurance requirements.
All drivers of parade vehicle (including four wheelers) must be 18 years of age, have proof of driving license and insurance on the day of the parade.
There will be no vendors allowed along the parade route. This includes the selling of any food, toys, crafts, or blow up items from bicycles, booths, vehicles, or shopping carts. Individuals caught will be subject to fines.
No posters, handouts, or flyers can be handed out.
HORSES Special Rules: All horses must be diapered before the parade starts or the participants must provide a pooper-scooper. Horses need to arrive early. Park trailers in the lot below Olympia Gym (Parham Ave and Avenue C) and . Horses will graze/wait in the field next to the building. Each entry cost $10. Riders for horses can be under the age of 10, if accompanied by an adult.
MOTORCYCLE Special Rules: Each motorcycle entry cost $10 and there will be 4 motorcycles lined-up per 20 foot section. Motorcycle entries must be a member of a motorcycle or riding club.
FOUR WHEELERS Special Rules: Each 4-wheeler entry cost $10 and must be a member of a 4-wheeler riding club. ABSOULETLY NO RECKLESS BEHAVIOR. Drivers of the 4-wheelers must be 18 years old, have proof of license and insurance on the day of the parade. Reckless operations of vehicle are subject to ticketing. All passengers on the 4-wheeler must be at least 10 years of age, and the operator of the 4-wheeler assumes all responsibility for the driver and passenger.
TRACTOR Special Rules: Each tractor entry cost $10, unless pulling a float, and must be a member of a tractor club.In the event of inclement (rain, snow, sleet) weather conditions, a decision will be made by 10:00 am.
Parade line-up will be established by Blount County Jaycees, Inc. and will be listed in the Daily Times by Friday, December 11th, 2020 edition.
--> Candy can be given out along the parade route, but cease once reaching the Maryville Municipal Bldg.
*****COVID-19 Update: Spectators will be encouraged to wear masks and socially distance themselves from those outside of their households. All participants in the parade will be required to wear masks and maintain social distancing outside their organization where necessary. Parade staging will attempt to socially distance entries where feasible.
The Blount County Jaycees, inc. and City of Maryville cannot guarantee there is no risk of exposure to any illness/disease/COVID-19 while participating and/or attending this function
All returned checks for application fees will be assessed a $30 fee.
In the event that the parade be cancelled for COVID-19, entries will be returned at value less the cost of associated organizational fees at the determination of cancelation.
